I find myself in a rut. A knitting rut. There are lots of projects that I want to get started on, but I'm having trouble actually picking up the needles to complete them. I know… How can that be possible? So how does one combat this mental urgency to start with the lack of physical mojo?
For me, it begins with organization. My craft room has become a trash room. Its where all the clutter over the past few weeks has gone to vacation, mold, fester. I've acquired new yarns that remain in bags, in piles, everywhere! My creative side can only dream about starting projects because the actual act of finding the items needed is roughly on par with searching for the Holy Grail. That is why this Friday [mark your calendar February 19], I'm going to destash, declutter, and overhaul the system. I'll be sure to post a few pictures so you can see the progress and to keep me accountable in actually accomplishing the task.
But I'd like to hear from you. How do you get your mojo in the groove for knitting, crocheting, or crafting in general? What have you found works best for you?
