A Year in Review

The last few years I've made resolutions going into the New Year. Last year I even outlined them here. I fulfilled my desire to try a new recipe once a month and sometimes more with many thanks to you all! Sadly, I did not complete my Milkweed Shawl, but I did complete other projects like my shoulder cozy-- despite my sad neglect of posting projects on Ravelry! Plus, I am so looking forward to our Blanket SAL starting on January 1st!

I also did not read 3 books from my home-library shelves. However, I have read some great books this year and am currently relishing in the Flavia DeLuce series by Alan Bradley.

While my resolutions from last year weren't met entirely, I still say that it's been a productive, fun, and enriching year. I hope you feel the same. As we ring in 2012, I plan on taking Benjamin Franklin's words of wisdom with me-- "Be always at war with your vice, at peace with your neighbors, and let each New Year find you a better person."

Thank you for accompanying us Shopgirls' this year. We have laughed much, learned together, and been encouraged by you. We count it a great privilege to be part of your lives.

Pam and I will be at the shop this Saturday (New Year's Eve) from 10-3 and we invite you to come, sit, craft, and just be. We'd love your company.  If your schedule doesn't allow, then we look forward to seeing you in 2012.

Happy New Year friends!

~Kristin
