It's Thanksgiving Eve and I'm just bopping in to say hi. My holiday cooking is done, minus the bird, and my holiday guests have arrived. My house is clean (for the moment) and as the household settles in for the evening, my thoughts are turning to the after stuffing fun.
yarn-love is open Orange Friday. Like any good holiday we have our own traditions. We always serve orange food. I'll be making pumpkin chocolate chip bread to share on Friday. Plus, we're offering some incredible deals on yarn. I'm trying to decide what colors of Road to China Light I'm going to be bringing home. :-) Yes, Fair Isle is still my fair friend.
This year, we're also adding some fun little informational sessions. So if you've always wondered about how to choose color, or what all the different yarn weights mean, or how to use buttons for more than just function you'll want to be at yarn-love.
Finally, if you haven't heard we're doing a KAL (knit a long) starting January 1st. It's actually a Blanket KAL. While, I started the Moderne Baby Blanket a couple years ago, the blanket I'll be knitting from start to finish is the Baby Chalice Blanket. I already snagged two skeins of Dream in Color Flamingo Pie for this lovely design. In fact, if you're considering participating (please do!) this Friday and Saturday would be a perfect time to pick up your yarn. Afterall, all yarn is on sale. No exclusions.
Okay. Must get back to being the hostess. I'll see you Friday and bring along your knitting.
