Fall into yarn-love in September

Hello!

I hope you've been enjoying the last few weeks of summer as we're nearing our last holiday of the summer. We're now having cooler and more comfortable days here in central PA (as I write this), and it definitely feels like it's time to turn our thoughts to fall – to crisp, cool weather and cozy knit and crochet projects. This love note serves up four reasons to fall into yarn-love this month (just in case you needed one more reason!).

Here's hoping you have a terrific rest of the summer and are able to spend Labor Day weekend with friends and family.

Fall into yarn-love for classes. Make time for yourself – learn to knit or crochet, learn a new technique, or receive the guidance and support you need to build your knitting confidence. Learn about yarn-love's fabulous instructors (and the rest of the yarn-love team) by reading the newly designed ‘about us’ page. Have you seen our full schedule of classes? There are several September classes with openings:

  • Beginer Knitting – Join the knitting club and learn all the necessary basics
  • Composed Mitts – Learn color knitting while making adorable, colorful, textured mitts
  • Clapotis – Let us guide you through the process of knitting this 'go-to' wrap that is knit on the bias with dropped columns of stitches (yes, deliberately dropped!)
  • Crochet Basics – This class is perfect for 'wanna be' crocheters and for knitters who want to learn common crochet stitches for edgings on knitted garments.
  • Fit for Knitting – How can you get to your desired final destination without a map? Here, you will take accurate measurements that will ensure you can knit a garment that fits properly.
  • Top-Down Sweater – You choose the sweater size (baby, child, adult) and the yarn, and we'll walk you through knitting a sweater.
