Summer has arrived! I hope you’re enjoying the warmer (and drier!) weather. My sweet niece Abby was just in town for a quick visit, and we kicked off our summer at the Hummelstown Fireman's Carnival. And, the next morning, Abby delighted me by announcing that she wanted to learn how to knit. Hope you’re finding lots of things to delight yourself.

This love note highlights a couple of summertime things at yarn-love, and we’ve tucked in a few photos at the end. Plus, we’ll follow up this note with an announcement about Carrie Strine's trunk show and lace cowl class.

1. Summer of Bliss Join us this summer for a Debbie Bliss Baby Cashmerino project. This yarn is a lightweight yarn that is perfect for warmer weather knitting. For those of you not familiar with Baby Cashmerino, it is a very soft, fingering weight superwash wool-nylon-cashmere blend. There are lots of colors on our shelves (19 colors to be exact!) and patterns to choose from –in both Debbie Bliss books and magazines in the shop. Plus, there are tons of online patterns such as Saartje's Bootees (currently 5310 active projects in Ravelry!) and Café Au Lait Mitts; both patterns are free downloads on Ravelry.

   • Join us for knitalongs on Wednesday nights, Second Sundays, and First Friday in August

   • Complete your project by the end of August, and bring it in to yarn-love
