Yarn & Friendship
Shelley came to Yarn-Love shortly after Pam opened. From the first First Friday I met her, I was completely enthralled with her energy, knowledge, and "you can do it!" mindset. Nothing was too difficult or too much of a challenge. Plus, she could talk and knit! As a new knitter, I was totally stunned. Here was a woman near my own age with skills, serious knitting skills. While I concentrated on what "K" in the pattern directions stood for, Shelley was doing two sleeves at a time, checking Knitty for her next project, and finishing a pair of socks!

Then she moved to Illinois. However, Shelley has stayed in touch via Ravelry and e-mail (check out how Shelley learned to knit here). We're thrilled that she is moving back to the east coast. On her trek to Connecticut she'll be stopping by the shop this Friday and Saturday afternoon! Do drop in and meet or get reacquainted with her. And for those who have been following the KAL of Citron, she'll have hers with her. It's bound to be a fun time! But then yarn and friendship always are.

P.S. Wondering what our next KAL will be? Stop by the shop tonight, Wednesday March 10 to find out! |
